The challenge

Selling premium WordPress plugins sounds simple until you look at what's behind it: license keys, activations, subscription billing, automatic updates, and a place where customers manage all of it. Off-the-shelf licensing services exist, but they come with their own fees, limits, and lock-in.

What I built

A suite of premium WordPress plugins — AI assistance, booking, SEO, SMTP, and forms — backed by a custom Laravel platform that runs the business side: license keys and activations, subscription payments, automatic plugin updates served directly to customer sites, and a customer portal for managing licenses and downloads.

Everything is built end-to-end, from plugin code to billing logic, so the pieces fit together instead of being glued together.

Status

Proluma is in the final stretch before launch. This case study will be updated with results once it goes live.
